Languages Support

Language competency adds to our well-being and self-confidence. At SNA we provide an opportunity for language learning and critical study in English, Vietnamese, and Korean, as well as supporting Independent Language studies for students from other mother tongue backgrounds. Our SNA community recognizes the importance of language not only in determining academic success but also in nurturing international mindedness and preparing our students to be global citizens.

Inclusion Support

SNA is an IB Inclusive school. We understand students have a variety of learning, emotional and behavioral needs. At SNA, we believe in taking an individualized approach to support students by identifying characteristics and particular circumstances to enable both challenge and success in their educational journey. For those facing challenges (medical, social, emotional, educational & circumstantial) we build Individual Education Plans (IEPs). We work and collaborate with outside agencies and professional recommendations to enable students to reach their full potential. We utilize best practices and provide a holistic, inclusive environment with qualified staff to assist.

Counseling Service

At SNA, our School Counselling and Wellbeing Team works directly with students on issues (as they arise) in a confidential and safe manner. This includes individual, social, peer, educational, and relationship type issues to enable the physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing concerns to be addressed. We see the whole person inclusive of mind, body and environment. We mentor, advocate and enable students to cope with a wide range of emotions, teaching resilience and self-help strategies. 

We cannot fulfill our obligations alone and recognize the immeasurable value family holds in this relationship. We encourage family interaction, support, contribution and nurturing, building a sense of belonging, agency and security within our community. We facilitate students in their growth of self, how to be safe, child protection matters and wellbeing as they progress through our school and mature into young, independent, well-adjust adults holding, their own agency with confidence and an awareness of the global world.

At SNA students defined Wellbeing as a multifaceted term with consideration to everyone’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual self. This includes how we feel and interact within our environment. It is inclusive, accepting and supporting of all persons and every person has a right to wellbeing. Our students regularly contribute, allowing real-time knowledge of trending issues. We are proud of the relationships we build with our students, their extended family highlighting, the professionalism and dedication of our team. 

Lastly, the wellbeing of our Boarding House Students is a key priority. We strive to provide conditions that allow students to thrive and emerge as the best version of themselves.
